Core Kettleworx tonight

Imagine my surprise when I woke up and discovered I have lost a lb! WHOOT!  


Breakfast: cup of spinach mixed with 1 egg and 1 egg white and little taco cheese.
Snack: Peach and some almonds
Lunch: 1 pc of chicken breast(bone in) no skin, little sweet potato  fresh green beans steamed
Snack: yogurt and nectarine
Dinner: TBD


Tonight  I did my week 4 Round 2 Cardio Kettleworx!  I have 7 weeks until 5K- !!!!
Going to run tomorrow tonight!

I am sorry I have not posted - I have not had internet for a week or so- now I have it and the hurricane is going to be here in a couple of hours - we have been preparing for days. Still eating clean and  doing KW and exercising- will be back to regular posting after we get through this storm - be safe :)

Ran 3.6 miles tonight!

So I had a few days off (since Wed) But I am back and with a vengeance. I seem to have a plateau~ so if you know me I research things a lot. So I hit the web and started searching found lots of things to do and not do to help- but pretty much convinced myself I am not at fault. I may need to mix up my workouts or change my calories - but I am on the right track. So today I was doing various things- trying to mix it up and just burn some calories - being since Wed I somehow gained 2 lbs grrrr. I used my hand weights and did diffrent punches with them and did arm lifts , press etc. did high knees- alternating knees - 3 different types of mountain climbers - did steps ups on my pool steps. Later went for a hike with hubby and Steven- that was 40 mins- I wanted to go longer but Steven thought he was going to just "die" if we did not go back and get some food. I tried getting him to later go for a bike ride with me or play badminton basketball- anything- he was to tired from his hike. I need to get him more active he is 9 and I am 44 and I  am begging him to play with me lol . So tonight I ate oatmeal with 2tsp of flax seed and 1/2 scoop soy protein in it for my dinner/pre run. I waited an hour or so did a warm-up walked around the block .6 miles was 61 calories- now I was warm- so I ran to night 6 laps around the neighborhood nonstop  3.6 miles for 514 calories- total count of 575! Whoot! time was 50:43! On 8/16 I ran on the treadmill 3.1 miles and time was 45 min. Going to take a short run tomorrow morning maybe 1.5 or 2 miles. I have been on vacation this week - enabling me to exercise more and when I want to- so I have to work this all in to my schedule again and make sure I still get plenty of rest. I came home and ate a handful of raisins- now need to go find some small source of protein- then off to the shower cause I am drenched!
My total calorie burn today was 891 - not bad at all!!

5K here I come!

Sunday was rest day~ I made it the whole day- this is a first for me! I weighed in @ 166.4 Whoot!  Today I did KettleWorx cardio  week 3 & fast fabs. 210 calories burned. I log my food and activity in 2 places now http://loseit.com and http://www.fatsecret.com.

736 Calories gone forever

 Today was a wonderful day! I lost .4 lbs! Also a friend of mine gave me some clothes- because now that I have lost weight I have nothing that fits ~ so she cleaned out her closet :) Well I discovered that I could fit into a pair of size 10 shorts regular fit not relaxed or any of that. I have not been a sz 10 in over 20 years!!!
 I did my elliptical tonight for 249 calories then did my running walking intervals- this week I increased my run time by a minute - so 2 mins walking five mins running- the very last interval I ran for 10 did this for 33 mins.Then power walked for a mile = 157 cal


TOTAL BURN = 736

Breakfast: greek yogurt w/granola
Lunch: Turkey burger and a tomato 
Snack:peach/grapes/1 oz of chicken
During workout: P90X recovery Drink
Dinner: salad with 3 oz of chicken and 1/4c white kidney beans
1 very thin slice of chocolate cake

450 calories and on rest day!

ate very clean today! came home rode bike 2 miles then walked very brisk for 2 miles burned total of 450 calories. I have burned 11,599 steps so far today!  Tomorrow is KettleWorx Resistance week 2.

I power walked at lunch today- burned 170 calories
Did Kettleworx week 2 Cardio- 242 calories
37 mins of brisk walking- 213 calories
Total - 630
 total steps @ this point is 12,131!

766 calories gone forever!!!

I tore it up today!  I had 10,470 steps today! Elliptical on resistance program for 30 mins for 277 cals. Interval training on treadmill. 2 mins walk @ moderate pace 4 mins @ 3.8-4.8 ish did this for 30 mins the last interval I ran an extra 2 mins @4.9 for a total straight run for 6 mins @ 4.9!! Just to prove to myself I could! I then thought I would walk  a mile to cool down  well half way through I got bored- so ran the last half a mile  total cals= 489  


So I burned 766 calories! 


I ate even cleaner today:


Breakfast: Apple and oatmeal
Snack: Blackberries and some nuts
Lunch: 4 oz chicken with lettuce and tomato 2 tsbp of fat free dressing
Snack: greek yogurt with granola
Snack:/ pre/during workout: P90x recovery formula

round 2 week 2 Cardio

today I walked @ lunch time only 15 mins tho was very hot! 
I did week 2 cardio tonight with the 15lb bell. I only  burned 120 cal - not happy at all. I ate very clean today. I am kinda tired today- think it is from my run yesterday- so I am trying to accept I did not do that much today- because my body needs a little rest. Tomorrow will be a intense workout again- elliptical/Running. I am hoping  after this week my body will have adjusted and I will start to lose some weight. I can't see any changes in my stomach- however I can feel it from the inside-getting tighter.

Pedometer went swimming!

Today has been very productive as far as exercise goes. I want to run a marathon eventually - maybe next year if I am ready.I have been  running on my Kettleworx rest days. I started out last week doing 2 mins of walking and 3 mins of hard running @ like 5.0 on treadmill for 30 mins. I always do the elliptical on the resistance program for 30 mins ( today burned 278 cal) I do the elliptical first because it gets my legs warm and I run much better. This week I have stepped it up a notch- today I walked 2 and ran hard for 4 mins. Was challenging towards the end but I made it through 30 mins of this process. I kept telling myself "How bad do you want this?" this kept me going. at the end of the 30 mins I then walked a .25 of a mile to cool down and bring heart rate down. Running calories was 346. Total calories: 624  My abs are quivering not sure if it is from the running or the KW yesterday with the 15lb. So after all this working out in the shed where it was humid and hot - I was HOT ! so took off my Mio watch and shoes and socks and jumped in the pool. The second I hit the water - I realized I did not take off my Pedometer- ahhh this sucks. I really am addicted to wearing it and keep track of my steps.

15lb Kettlebell again!

Steven is feeling better now we got the antibiotic in him twice now :)  I missed my workout because we had to take him to the doctor right after I got home from work on Friday- messed up the whole schedule of things. I did however do my KettleWorx Week 1 Resistance this morning with the 15lb everything but the punches I used a 10lb. I am doing round 2 and trying to use solely 15lb but some things such as punches and "gunslingers" I still have to use the 10lb. I managed to get in 8000 step so far today - day is not over tho! Mark and I ripped down all the sheet rock off one of the garage walls- sure I burned calories there :)
I joined loseit.com today- very cool site logged all my food and exercise. It then tells you how many calories you have left etc and you can set up goals and it will track you weekly.

Lunch: fish with mixed veggies
Snack: 1 pc of whole wheat bread 2tsp of lowfat PB

Crazzy day

Today was a little crazzzy at work today! But I survived. Steven (my son) has been sick had to take him to doctor right after work- he may have strep throat. I have to run back up and get his meds in a little bit. This has thrown off my workout schedule for today. I will just do my Kettleworx in the morning instead - no biggie. Still wearing my pedometer  I am @ 6317 so far but the day is not over lol.

9711 steps

forgot till now when I went to change clothes I wore pedometer all day just shy of 10,000 steps I had 9711!

Rest day

Well  my day started @ 4:30 am woke up could not sleep. So I gave in and got up and went out to the shed and  did the elliptical on the resistance mode for 30 mins and burned 320 calories. It is very important you give your body time to recover and muscles time to repair. So I did nothing tonight and will do my resistance KettleWorx workout tomorrow evening. Today is actually my rest day- but was up so figured might as well do something. I am tired as I sit here and type this {yawn}. 


breakfast:

salad w/turkey and small serving of  watermelon

4 grapes / protein drink choc with 1 tsp low fat peanut butter

346 Calories burned!

I was a little tired tonight- probably from yesterdays workout - however I still gave it my all I did drop down from the 15lb  bell to the 10 for the 2nd set. I was able to be more effective that way. Cardio week 1 was the workout for tonight.  with 120 extra swings at the end! I feel great now!

Snack: peach and some peanuts no salt
Lunch: Salad with chicken
Snack: banana/apple (post workout carbs)
Dinner: salad w/chicken (was going to use crab but none left)

641 calories gone forever!!

feeling pretty good right now besides my arms ache and legs feel like jello :)  I came home tonight strapped on my Mio watch and out to the shed I went. Today is rest day in my Kettleworx schedule- however I can't rest so I do cardio on the off days.  Elliptical for 30 mins on the resistance program  burned 284 calories! I then jumped over on the treadmill and walked for 2 mins and then ran hard for 3 I continued doing this for 30 mins which equaled 2 miles. I then walked another .25 of a mile to cool down and let my heart rate come down. Burned 357 calories for total of 641 calories! I then rinsed off because I was drenched head to toe in sweat; and then went swimming with my son. Tomorrow is Cardio week 1 Kettleworx- using my 15 lb can't wait :)

KettleWorx Core Week1 round 2

Today was Core Week 1. I have decided to go through Round 2 with my 15lb all the way - not switching between 10 and 15 - just the 15. I can still feel my arms shaking as I sit here and type. I walked/ran for two miles after my KettleWorx workout tonight. Not sure what I will do tomorrow- suppose to be rest day ( I have a hard time doing nothing) I might just run and do elliptical and do extra swings with the bell.
