Turbo Jam burning max calories

I am  doing currently doing this program.. prepping for the Les Mills Body Combat.

10 Frequently Asked Questions About LES MILLS COMBAT

10 Frequently Asked Questions About LES MILLS COMBAT

Do you want a high-intensity, fun workout program that will shred fat and help you get that lean, defined look? Then LES MILLS COMBAT is probably the program for you. Just in case . . . here are answers to the 10 most frequently asked questions.

1. What could LES MILLS COMBAT do for my body?

LES MILLS COMBAT is a full-body training program that combines highly effective calorie burning moves and sequences from 6 different martial arts disciplines with High-Intensity Interval Training that, in short, will help make you very fit. Expect a lean chiseled look, not a bodybuilder physique.

2. Will I lose muscle tone if I switch from a program like P90X® or LES MILLS PUMP to LES MILLS COMBAT?

Not at all. In fact, you will maintain your results and continue to build lean muscle mass. That said, the workouts are not as heavy weight training focused as either P90X or LES MILLS PUMP, and you don't focus on hypertrophy (muscle growth) as much as you would in P90X.

3. If I have bad knees or ankles, will I be able to do LES MILLS COMBAT?

We always recommend that you check with your doctor first. Whether or not you are able to do these workouts depends on your situation and how injured you are. LES MILLS COMBAT is high-intensity training. There is always a modification option that makes it easier and less impactful, but you still need good coordination and movement abilities. If your doctor clears you to do martial arts then you can do LES MILLS COMBAT. If not, we recommend you choose a lower impact program.

4. What kind of music is featured in the program?

LES MILLS COMBAT's dynamic martial arts sequences, moves, and combinations were carefully choreographed to some of today's most popular music, as well as old-school rap, disco dance beats, and classic tunes. From "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" to "You Can't Touch This" to "YMCA," all of our scores were chosen for their ability to inspire, energize, and fuel your workouts—and they've all been amped up a notch to give you that extra adrenaline "kick" as you power your way through LES MILLS COMBAT's high-octane workouts.

5. What is the difference between LES MILLS COMBAT and LES MILLS PUMP?

The LES MILLS PUMP workout features light weights and high reps to help you achieve lean muscles and a toned look. LES MILLS COMBAT will also help you get that toned, fit body. LES MILLS COMBAT is a high-intensity and explosive aerobic endurance program that will get you shredded and defined like a mixed martial arts warrior.

6. I'm not very coordinated. Will I be able to do LES MILLS COMBAT?

Yes! In fact, doing LES MILLS COMBAT will help you become more coordinated. "The Basics" workout will teach you the techniques and various "guards" and "stances" that will be the foundation of later moves. Just go at your own pace. If you get lost, there's no harm in hitting the "pause" button, rewinding, and trying the movement again.

7. How much equipment do I need for LES MILLS COMBAT?

You will need your own dumbbells, within a certain weight range, for the POWER HIIT 1 workout and the Ultimate Warrior Kit's WARRIOR 1: UPPER BODY BLOW OUT to advance your fitness level and get serious definition! Dumbbells are optional for the SHOCK PLYO HIIT 2 workout and the Ultimate Warrior Kit's CORE ATTACK. You may also find that wearing the LES MILLS COMBAT Training Gloves when you're working out will amp up your intensity and help you deliver more accurate punches.

8. How long is the LES MILLS COMBAT program? How many workouts are there?

LES MILLS COMBAT is a 60-day workout program, and you can follow one of three calendars: the introductory Combat Warrior Calendar, the more intense Supreme Warrior Calendar, or the extreme Ultimate Warrior Calendar. The Combat Warrior and Supreme Warrior Calendars are built from the 7 workouts (30 to 60 minutes each) in the LES MILLS COMBAT Kit. The Ultimate Warrior Calendar uses these and integrates the additional workouts available in the Ultimate Warrior Kit.

9. I've been doing BODYCOMBAT® at my gym. Is LES MILLS COMBAT similar?

Yes. LES MILLS COMBAT is the at-home version of BODYCOMBAT, taught by LES MILLS COMBAT–certified trainers Dan Cohen and Rachael Newsham.

10. Can I do a hybrid of this and LES MILLS PUMP?

Absolutely. You can incorporate a LES MILLS COMBAT workout into your LES MILLS PUMP routine by using one of the LES MILLS COMBAT workouts on your recommended "Walk" day in the LES MILLS PUMP workout calendar. However, it is not recommended that you supplement your LES MILLS COMBAT workouts with those from LES MILLS PUMP.

Bonus: Is there a benefit from ordering LES MILLS COMBAT through Team Beachbody®?

Yes! If you order LES MILLS COMBAT through Team Beachbody or through a Coach, you'll receive a FREE bonus workout, LES MILLS COMBAT 30: LIVE. It's a unique opportunity to feel like you're a part of a high-voltage in-person LES MILLS COMBAT class!
My new workout starting in January can't wait -- going to start challenge group-  do you want to do with me with me will be so much  fun - must pre order now will be delivered in December

P90X DAY 19 ! 1,288 burned today!!!

This will be what my Arms and Shoulders will look like soon hopefully! Well maybe not that big. Tonight was Day 19 for me into the P90X program. It is getting a little easier now, so I increased my reps or my weight - whatever was fitting for that exercises. Still tough though. I then did Ab RipperX; I can do more reps than when I first started but can't do 25 on every thing. This work out burned 594 calories. I am sticking with my 1000 calories a day challenge to myself, so out to the treadmill I went. I did running intervals for 50 mins which burned 526.
 Grand Total 1,288 WHOOT!!! :)
Tomorrow is YOGA X, I cant wait my legs are tight from the running.

Running/Elliptical/ Walking 1,026 Burned today!

This is my HRM after I did 75 Min of running/elliptical intervals! burned 909 calories and did I ever sweat. I had my blender ball cup filled to the top (20 oz) with P90X Results and Recovery Formula and another 16.9 oz water bottle with plain water in it for a backup. I drank every drop. It is very important that you hydrate when you work out.
So today I did this:
walked on treadmill for 5 mins as a warmup ran @ 3.5 for 15 mins non stop

jumped on the elliptical and up-ed the resistance every 2 mins for 15 mins.

walked on treadmill for 5 mins as a warmup ran @ 3.5 for 15 mins non stop

elliptical and up-ed the resistance every 2 mins for 15 mins.

Then I passed out in the lawn chair out back and rested for like ten mins! Wow 909 calories! This was just shy of my daily challenge to myself to burn at least a 1,000 a day. So I ate dinner, let it digest then went for a very leisure walk for half hour burned 117. For a grand total of 1,026. I always try to prep my meals ahead of time- to keep me on track. So as I sit here and type my tilapia is cooking for tomorrows lunch. I put a tiny bit of extra virgin olive oil on it with some Ms.Dash and some lemon juice. It smells so good! Tomorrow is Monday :( back off to work I must go. But will continue on with my P90X, I am in week 3 and very proud of my results so far. You can read a post or two back and you will be able to see my results so far. I weigh and measure every Saturday morning then post! Have a great evening, I am a little tuckered out so I am going to hit the sack early tonight :)

No power no water ( I have well water).
I have been been very diligent  with my workouts and eating.  Tonight I start week 3 of P90X!
Results:
4 lb lost

1,226 Calories burned Plyo/Running

WILL KICK YOUR BUTT!
So here it is Sunday evening, I am feeling very wasted (in a good way). I have burned 1,226 exercise calories today! Exceeding my 1,000 a day goal! I also meet my goal of notching up the speed on the treadmill today. I was able to run 6.4 for a minute up from 6.0 yesterday. I am going to push myself a little each time. I woke up this morning at 4:30 for some odd reason could not fall back asleep so decided to get up and run while still early and not to humid out. I did my running intervals on treadmill at various speeds highest today was 6.4. I did this for 45 mins and had sweat pouring off me! I burned 568. I had some diluted Recovery formula with me which always gets me through. Came into the house and made some breakfast. I have been trying to switch it up so my body does not get use to the same food all the time. This morning I had non fat cottage cheese 1 cup w/ a peach cut up in it and 2tbsp of slivered almonds. That was 298 cals plus the 110 I had in the diluted Recovery formula. We went to church , then went shopping at Target, they have the Gorton's Grilled Salmon there that I like. I also bought a bag of Tilapia. Stocked up on my Luna and Kashi Bars. Got some eggs, Jif Reduced Fat Peanut Butter , wheat thins and baggies to pack all these goodies in.  Came home put everything up made some lunch and crashed hard was only going to sleep for 1:45 but ended up being 3 hrs.  After waking up I was thinking I better fuel my body because I have my P90X Plyometrics tonight and it is going to kick my butt! I ate some dinner. Had to go get my son from his fathers which gave my food plenty of time to digest before working out. Got home - pulled my prepared water bottle of P90X Results and Recovery Formula out of the fridge and "jumped" into PLYOMETRICS! Those froggie squats are killer for inner thighs! Jumping  jack squats- wow the minds of the people that think these things up- but they work! I completed the whole workout with out much modification! 698 calorie burn baby!  Goal is to get up in the morning before work and do the elliptical for 30 and only run for like 15 mins- just keep ahead of my body getting use to what I do! Plus my goal of 1,000+ exercise calories

Try P90X, TurboFire or Brazil Butt Lift

I am sure you have seen those infomercials  for P90X, Turbo Jam, Brazil Butt Lift and thought hmm I would like to try that but not sure If I would like it. Burn 1,000+ calories a day challenge for myself!

So I have decided to challenge myself. Back in 2006 I got up every morning and did something, ran, elliptical sometimes both, rode my bike, power walked~ something. Then weather permitting  I would walk my 30 min lunch hour then come home and do P90X. I ate very clean and drank lots of water. Results 47lbs lost in 90 days.  So I need to be there again and maintain! So I started today,(with the mission of 1000 calorie burn per day) I ran on the treadmill for 40 mins. I did interval running. I was able to run 6.0 mph today for 1 whole minute! Best I have every done~ so proud of myself.  I burned 565 calories and lots of sweat!
I then came in made a healthy lunch went about the rest of my day. Then tonight I started week 2 of my P90X program; Chest & Back . I stepped up my weight tonight to make it more challenging.  I was to also do the AB Ripper 16 min ab routine, but I was to wasted. I will do in the morning. I wrote everything down on the worksheet to look back at later to see progress. That workout was 507 calories. TOTAL= 1072. Goal accomplished for today! For both workouts I used P90X Results and Recovery Formula. I diluted it and only used one scoop in my water - this stuff really gets me through tough workouts!

P90X Results! Inches and Pounds lost! Transformation in progress!

So I started my new journey on 7/2/2012 while waiting the arrival of P90X. I started eating clean counting my calories, exercising ( running, walking etc) I log all my food and exercise @ Loseit.com This site is great you can make friends if you want- get badges as rewards etc. However most importantly you can track everything you put in your mouth and every calorie you burn. They have mobile apps as well - which is great for me while I am at work. I log snacks and lunch immediately so not to forget anything.
I received my P90X package on the 7/5/2012 and started that very night! Had a few bumps in the road this week as far as days go - did all my workouts just had to switch my schedule up a little.
So for the results - 13 days later.... I have lost...

2 lbs
1 in in waist
1 inch in hips
.5 inch in both thighs
2% body fat

IN 13DAYS....WOW! Can you imagine what my 30 day results will be! 60?  and 90???
I am so very stoked! I am starting week 2 this morning ! I received my P90X Results and Recovery Formula this week, I love this stuff! This stuff is like gold in a water bottle- makes my workouts sooo much better!  Time for me to go "BRING IT!"

Kenpo X Day 6 of P90X

KENPO X ROCKS!!!

I have been crazy busy, so I was not able to post my workout, but I did  it; on Thursday! This is my absolute favorite P90X workout. Lots of punching and kicks~ very much my style. It is my favorite also because it burns up the calories fast. I burned 656 in this workout! I was sweating and loving it!
Thursday (day of this workout) was my birthday! My family is great and decorated the living room with streamers and balloons. We grilled burgers and hot dogs. I had turkey burgers of course, anyone that knows me knows I do not eat ground beef. Ground Turkey and Chicken are so much better for you! I have been eating around 1400 calories ( that is without subtracting my workout calories) I find it really hard to eat the recommended 1800 calories recommend in the Nutritional guide. I have been trying to eat more protein, it is suggested you have five portions through out  your day. I suggest lots and lots of water as you are only to have 1 fruit and 2 veggie portions. Protein can bind you up! Who enjoys the feeling of being bloated and not being able to go to the bathroom~ no one that I know! I take a few supplements usually at lunch time flax seed, fish oil, b-complex, and vitamin c. The flax and fish oils help with the binding issues. Shakeology is awesome for this too. I need to get some more as I am out, but I will drink the for breakfast and it just starts your whole day out great!
Clinical test certify that Shakeology has a low glycemic index, with GI level of 24.
Shakeology can help you:

Lose Weight
Feel Energized
Improve Digestion and Regularity
Lower Cholesterol

Squats and Lunges Leg & Back P90X Day 5

Day 5 completed! Wow are reverse grip pull ups hard! I will get better at them but today when we had to switch back and forth I was like - wow this is hard- but kept doing it!  I know when I am done with this 90 days I am going to have some strong legs. Did wall squats today, one legged wall squats, lunges and more squats. Pullups, close grip, wide grip, reverse grip. I do them assisted off a crate- I let my arms and back do all the work though- do not use my legs. I love P90X Results and Recovery Formula - it is golden! I mix it up an drink half during my workout and rest when I am done. It helps your muscles not be as sore and replenishes the glycogen that is lost in your workout. This stuff keeps me from bonking in the middle of my workouts. Sometimes I even dilute it and only use half the recommended amount depending on how intense my workout is.

Best Snacks with Healthy Low Calorie Foods - Air Popped Popcorn

I don't know about you but I love popcorn. Sure it takes good with the dripping butter and salt. But as hard as  I work out there is no way I am putting that junk in my body. My favorite low calorie snack especially when I have the munchies is Orville Redenbacher's 94% Fat Free Smart Pop Snack bags! You get to eat the whole bag for only 100 cals . The chart below will show you comparisons to the different popcorn's.  I am hoping to get an air popper soon- I have it listed in my bridal register! Sometimes you just want something crunchy and this is a great option. you fell like you are getting a lot because you can eat the whole snack bag.

Air popped popcorn is one of the best snacks to choose for overall crunch appeal. Its light, healthy and provides a high amount of fiber. You can pickup a air popper for about $10-15 at your local Wal-Mart or Target. Bags of popcorn kernels are very inexpensive and will last you a while. For extra taste, add a few squirts of fat free butter spray and a pinch of seasoning salt.
Microwave vs. Air Popped Popcorn
Although air popped popcorn is much healthier for you, there are also a few choices if you don't have access to an air popper and want to go the microwave route. Choose low-fat microwave popcorn with no more than a few grams of fat per serving. Once of my top picks is "Orville Redenbacher's 94% Fat Free Smart Pop". It only has a few grams of fat per serving, tastes amazing and always pops a full bag. Stay away from the fat and calorie packed flavored versions of microwave popcorn. These include kettle corn, movie theater butter and cheese flavored popcorn. These contain a very high amount of fat per serving and since there are 9 calories per gram of fat, the calories start adding up very fast.

Why Choose the Ninja Blender 1100 Over Other Blenders

I use my Ninja almost every day. I use the big pitcher for my Shakeology that I drink almost each and every day. The smaller containers we use for making all kinds of stuff. I just used this morning chopped up some broccoli in it and then threw my egg whites right in the same container - little feta cheese put lid on and mixed it all up and poured right into pan.

What makes a blender better than other brands? How does one choose the type of blender to purchase among the many brands in the market today? There are many factors that may affect your choice; among them is the appliance's durability, efficiency and most of all, the price. And if you are hunting for the best of all three then you should check out Ninja Blender 1100.
Ninja 1100 blender is a part of the Ninja Kitchen System 1100 series. The Ninja brand was developed by Euro-Pro Cleaning LLC, a company that innovates cleaning solutions and household appliances made to provide the most efficient service for busy consumers. Although a fairly new brand, Ninja is slowly gaining more and more consumers with its practical household appliances and innovative kitchen appliance designs. The Ninja Blender is just one of the most popular products simply because of the following reasons:
The Ninja Blender has one of the most powerful motor that does not only crush ice, blend, puree and perform controlled food processing. It is so powerful it can grind nuts like peanuts into nut butter or peanut butter. This blender is also so powerful, it can make or knead dough for breads, pizza crusts, biscuits, cookies and even pretzels.
With unique dough paddle and dough blade attachments, you can make dough without the need to knead dry and wet ingredients together. This feature will save you time and energy in making dough for breads and pastries.
You can blend frozen fruit into smoothies in just several pulses. If you love to make fresh fruit smoothies in the morning as a drink to power you up, you can freeze fruit and place them in the blender in the morning. In just several seconds you can have your own frozen fruit smoothie.
The Ninja Blender 1100 can even make ice cream in just several minutes. You will get to make healthy ice cream and decide which ingredients to include. You can make ice cream from fruits in season or other traditional varieties like chocolate, vanilla, and butter pecan in a snap.
This blender is even better than a juice extractor; it makes fruit or vegetable juice together with the pulp or skin of the fruit or vegetable. Vitamins and minerals found in these foods are present in the rind which may just be discarded when you are using a juice extractor.
The Ninja 1100 Blender container is also safe; it is made of BPA-Free SAN plastic. It is durable easy to clean and will never retain smells and flavors from foods.
This blender is also very easy to clean. Just pop the pitcher, bowl, lock covers, blades and other attachments into the top rack of your dishwasher and you are good to go.

** make sure you follow the instructions- use top rack of dishwasher only. I melted one of my small containers by using bottom rack :(

Day 3 P90X Shoulders & Arms

Day 3 completed! I had a rough today... I worked in garden for 2 hours this morning and burned 719 calories. Boy did that kick my butt! I also need to learn to eat more. This is a "extreme workout". I have been wiped all day..probably a combination of working out all week , not eating enough and working out in sun. So I laid down at 5pm and to my surprise I did not wake up until 8pm. Guess I needed it. So I was contemplating doing the workout, because now it is late and will I be wasted tomorrow? After some thought I decided I would do the workout. My family was eagerly eating  DiGiorno Pizza, I was in the bedroom doing the workout, talk about willpower! I worked out and gave it my all. I then decided to eat an apple, and made an egg white omelet with little turkey for the protein. I burned 1,133 calories today so I needed the extra calories. Tomorrow is Yoga X!

Vegan Tropical Shakeology

I just tried the  Vegan Tropical Shakeolgy
I think it may be my favorite so far!
I love the chocolate and the green berry is ok
at least I have options now!15G Protein and only 160 calories! I think I am in love!

DAY 2 P90X PLYOMETRICS!

Talk about kicking my butt....
I burned 519 calories tonight and am drenched in sweat! This is primarily jump training.  Leap Frogs wow did they burn my thighs! Jumping Jack squats all kinds of crazy stuff; I did it all and did best I could do. Tomorrow will be shopping for some protein foods ..because in the nutritional guide tells you for the first 30 days or so you are to have at least 5 servings of protein to help you burn fat.

My coach just gave me this great link to PB2
PB2 has the same consistency as full fat peanut butter with all of the natural roasted peanut flavor, but with nearly 85% less fat calories. PB2 is made with high quality peanuts that are slow-roasted to our specifications and pressed to remove the oil. All natural with no artificial flavors or sweeteners, and no preservatives.

Well off to the shower and to bed!

Want a Challenge!

I am gearing up for my P90X! I am so fired up! I have taken measurements and weight! Before pictures (ugh) I will love showing these photos  once I complete P90X! If you know me you know when I get hell bent on something, I jump in with all my heart and soul. I am not going to lie, I slacked a little bit and started regressing- but I recognized this and decided to do something about it! So you need to DECIDE to do something about your Health. COMMIT  to your self and the program you choose. SUCCEED - you will succeed; just stick with it - YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

I would love to find some others to go through this next 90 days. You don't have to be doing P90X like me. There are so many programs to choose from depending on your fitness level. You will have amazing results! We can encourage each other along the way!

I drink Shakeology ever day matched up with exercise - you have no choice but to get healthy.

Meeting someone new!

I was doing my lunch time walk yesterday, when I was approached by a woman.. who started out with "your going to think I am crazy but I want to show you something"  Well turns out she was a bodybuilder for 8 or so years. She was not beefed up or bulky but had awesome arms. So she proceed to tell me to keep my weights up and not down at my side because it would keep my heart rate higher. And to use a lower weight, until I had gotten rid of whatever body fat I was going to shed. She was very pleasant and informational. She works in the building behind mine and is going to bring me information. She use to be way over 200 lbs that is how she got into the body building etc. She was 52 and looked awesome- you would never know that she  had ever been overweight.  Very cool that I meet such an inspirational person while out for a walk :)

I'm Back!!!!

Been  a long while since I posted. I walked today at my lunch hour and burned 315 calories.

I do some sort of something every time I go to the bathroom. So today I mixed it up Jumping jacks, squats, leg lifts etc. I am doing small sets- after all can't stay in the bathroom to long with out someone becoming suspicious. So  I burned 66 calories with my bathroom exercises. LMAO! I ordered Jillian Michaels Body Revolution and am patiently awaiting it's arrival. It is a 90 day program. My daughter graduates in June and I am hoping to be "hot"! I ate very well today I am actually below my calorie count :)
I use the website LOSEIT.COM to track my food and exercises. Click my link on the right.  I am going to integrate my Ketteworx into this program just not sure how yet. Thinking where she uses a dumbell I will use my Kettlebell. Will not know until I can fully check out the program. I have been drinking a lot of water as well.
Since going back to school full time along with working full time somehow I gained 10 LBS! This is not cool at all! I am on a mission!
